1. Right click on the folder icon/anime folder that you want to customize and click on "Properties".
2. Open "Customize" tab and click on "Change Icon".
3. Click on "Browse". Search for the icon that you want to use and click "Open" > "OK" > "Apply" > "OK". Enjoy~

The ".ico" file extension identifies an icon file on a Windows computer. If you want to use the same icon file on a Mac computer, you must convert it to ICNS file, which is the file type associated with icons on a Mac. An online conversion tool can help you easily convert an icon file from the ICO extension to a Mac-compatible ICNS file. Apparently all my icons are in ICO format so for Mac users, you have to convert them yourself using online conversion tool.

You can use this website to convert ICO to ICNS file
iconverticons.com/online/ <

1. Convert the .ico file by dragging it into the converting area or upload it directly from your computer.
2. After the conversion is done, click on the drop down menu of ICNS and select "Icns file" to download.

I don't know how to change icons in Mac OS X since I do not own a Mac computer, so I Googled for some tutorials and found this article that you can use a guide.
